There's no assistance. There are no shortcuts. Just you, your bike, and the Andes.
â
Transecuador is not about speed, it's about will.
It's about pushing when you can't pedal, about continuing when everything tells you to stop.
â
The Transecuador Bikepacking Race crosses the spine of the Andes in a route that is both brutal and beautiful. More than 600 kilometers of gravel roads, colonial cobblestone streets, hidden trails, and high-altitude highways wind through high-altitude plains, lagoons, and volcanoes.
â
The total ascent exceeds 16,000 meters. The terrain is demanding, the weather unpredictable, and the altitude a constant adversary. There are no support vehicles or aid stations here: each runner carries what they need to survive and keep going.
â
Every pedal stroke is a challenge. Every descent, a momentary respite. Every kilometer, a test of character. The route is unforgiving , but it rewards with breathtaking landscapes and the certainty of experiencing one of the most intense adventures on the planet.
The Transecuador is not just a race. It's a journey into the depths of self-sufficiency, where the only thing that matters is your willpower and the decision not to give up.

This race follows the same format and self-sufficiency policies as races like Tour Divide, Arizona Trail, or Colorado Trail.
