The Coastal Route is an epic journey that begins in Quito, traversing the historic center before climbing into the western cloud forests. This route features long descents to the lowlands, where you'll cross several cattle ranches, cacao plantations, and banana groves. The route crosses various ecosystems , from cloud forest to the dry forest characteristic of the Manabí coastal region. You might even hear howler monkeys echoing through the Manabí mountains. Along the way, you'll find several rest stops and villages where you can resupply, although there are stretches of several kilometers without any provisioning points.
Finally, the arrival point is at Canoas Beach where you can find several hotels and restaurants to relax and meet your family.

This race follows the same format and self-sufficiency policies as races like Tour Divide, Arizona Trail, Colorado Trail, or Transecuador
